Dr Adam J M Connor studied at the University of Nottingham 1991 – 1996 gaining an intercalated degree (Bachelor of Medical Sciences) with research in the Pathology of Breast Cancer. In 1996 Dr Connor completed his training with a Bachelor in Medicine and Bachelor in Surgery.

Originally interested in pursuing a career in surgery and in particular working in Ear, Nose & Throat surgery Dr Connor did a number of rotational jobs in the East Midlands, where he gained substantial surgical experience that would later inform one of his special interests ENT and also facilitate additional skills in minor surgery in General Practice.

Dr Maggie Clamp

( She/Her)

Maggie is an Occupational Health Physician, having previously been a GPs and undertakes medical appraisals. She has been undertaking both sport and commercial diving medicals since the early 1990’s.

Maggie is also approved to undertake offshore medicals and has many years of experience of undertaking driving medicals and general occupational health medicals. She is a BSAC advanced diver and has been diving since 1989. She is a member of the UK Diving Committee and is the Appraisal Lead and the BSAC and SAA representative.

Dr Clamps’ other interests are her pet dogs, attending Rolling Stones concerts, medieval history and she is a member of the Richard Ill Society (amazing he was found!).

Dawn Connor
Operations Director

Dawn is in charge of all bookings and admin relating to any medicals we offer. She ensures the smooth running of the practice day to day and is always on hand to answer any questions – in person or on the phone. Day to day Dawn coordinates our schedules and liaises with our clients – from individual private GP patients to some of our much larger businesses.

She is a qualified ergonomist and phlebotomist, performs our audiograms and other ancillary tests as well as helping Dr Connor during minor surgeries. With over 20 years of experience with handling private patients – Dawn is a wealth of knowledge and a crucial part of our team!

Outside of work Dawn enjoys walking with Adam, good food and spending time with her 4 children and 5 grandchildren! 

 

Jamie Buckland Price
Practice Assistant

Jamie joined AC Medical Services in August 2024 after spending 5 years working as a carer for older people at the end of life. Within the practice, he is responsible for the day to day running of reception, administering vaccinations and phlebotomy. Jamie is generally the first person you meet on arrival and will conduct the first part of most medical examinations.

Outside of work, he has a keen interest in fitness, attending the gym most days and has competed in Triathlons up to Ironman distance. Jamie is the proud owner of a Cockerpoo called Ruby and enjoys taking her for long walks.

Elise has recently started to manage AC Medical’s finance and admin. Working part time, she ensures prompt invoicing and the smooth running of the practices finances.

Outside of work, Elise has nearly finished her 5yr Veterinary degree to graduate in August 2025. She enjoys walking, bouldering and spending time with her two bunnies – Harold and Flump.

Spencer Laver
Sonographer

Spencer is a Sonographer with over 30 years of ultrasound experience. He qualified from the University of Leeds with his Ultrasound qualification with a further Musculoskeletal Master Module at Sheffield Hallam Uni. His career has taken him all over the country and half-way around the world in a range of positions, including National Lead Sonographer.

For many years he provided independent clinical audit services for Sonographers nationwide, helping to maintain the highest standards in Ultrasound service delivery. Spencer aims to provide a responsive, high-quality private diagnostic ultrasounding service using state of the art equipment.
